Hope

A while ago the LORD reminded me of the Scripture HE gave us today, “but those that wait upon the LORD will renew their strength Isaiah 40:31.”

HE then showed me a number of people’s faces that looked somber, sad and exhausted. As I was still trying to understand HE said to me, ” they are HOPE-LESS!” I did not grasp this instantly and so HE added,” why have they lost hope yet they profess to be Christians in Salvation who should renew their strength? HE continued,” because for years they have put their trust in some preachers and others have trusted in chariots!”

HE then gave me the understanding that masses of Christians have taken themselves to altars they don’t belong to and shouted the common chorus, “I receive!” as the preachers in these places yell out miracle after miracle of blessings backed up by Scripture. The LORD gave me the understanding that first of all, each person is assigned to a particular Servant which may change with seasons, but of course majority of Christians choose their own Servants with the common saying, “I want to tap into the blessings on that altar.” Well, if that’s NOT where God wants you to be, you will tap into that blessing but it will NEVER rub off to you.

Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord–Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here–has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 9:17.

And now majority of these “lost Christians” are feeling hopeless after years of sowing into the wrong altar. We are each called to a certain hope, even if our calling is similar, our paths cannot be exactly the same. we learn this even through the Apostles lives in the Bible.

Second, the LORD gave me understanding that, HE IS not man that HE shall lie, but Christians need to know that NOT every single promise in the Bible is for everyone. Ever wondered why David was extremely rich, while Elijah, who was even taken up to Heaven was more or less homeless? That is because God’s blessings are different and vary from individual to individual, no wonder Paul was unmarried yet Moses was. The beauty of all this that GOD equips us adequately for our path and gives us sufficient grace to withstand the journey as HE strengthens renews us.

Third, the LORD gave me understanding that, for every promise, there is a REQUIREMENT! For example, HE anointed me for Adornment Ministry, HE even chose the name, then gave me the Scripture of Isaiah 61:1-3 and said, “Adornment is a Ministry of HEALING,” then, HE imparted the gift of healing in my husband, ideally equipping him to fulfill the promise for the Ministry, when he lays hands on the sick, they receive healing. HE also gave us the promise in Isaiah 55:5, Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.”

And it is happening. Our books have been read across the globe, from Australia to China to Africa to USA and Europe, and these people communicate and we know that many of them look forward to visiting Adornment Sanctuary in Bumutiru as soon as it is ready.

For us to receive our promise, we had to be obedient. The LORD sent me to three different Churches and from each Church, HE gave me the gift of the Pastor, all these gifts were alien to me and not things I would have ever imagined I could do, but HE Is doing them through me and continues to strengthen me through it all. GOD Is faithful and PERFECT, we are usually the problem.

May you seek God’s Kingdom first, so that all these things can be added to you!

Hallelujah!

Waiting

Yesterday was one of those days that nothing seemed to work according to my hopes. one of those days that with each phone call or text coming in just brought news of what I would not have wanted to hear. Meanwhile, the people I hoped to receive encouraging news from were quite. The human tendency is to then begin to reason and think of the action to take leaving GOD out, and I am no exception, so I gladly started on this path. This caused a dull headache, I believe out of guilt for leaving GOD out of the equation, which turned into an explosive headache on one side of my head towards the wee hours of the morning, thankfully, my husband who is gifted with healing laid his hand on it and it disappeared as suddenly as it had begun pounding.

This morning the LORD then reminded me the vision of the rapidly growing tree, shrub which HE revealed to me earlier in the year accompanied with the understanding that “HE Is doing a new thing.” HE gave me the understanding that the promise whose requirement is to trust and remain in obedience to HIM is valid. I shared with Walter who reminded me what he had told me at the time that the process may not be sweet.

A while ago the LORD reminded me of my daughter’s travel nearly ten years ago. She had been in waiting for a breakthrough for a while and had been denied a visa to a certain Country thrice to which I was insisting she should go. When we tried to apply to a Country of her desire, the process of her placement and receiving the visa took only a month to her travel date. Early morning after the night of her departure, I received an alarming call from her, she was crying. I asked where she was, if she had been arrested, if she helped carry someone’s bag, if there was no one at the airport to receive her…all these questions in quick succession from panic. Her answer stopped me in shock… She said she was alright having arrived at the airport of her destination safely, but she was almost in shock that she had actually travelled and we were now thousands of miles apart! Reality had just set in.

That brings me to the understanding the LORD just gave me of issues. HE said, ” I should learn to embrace and be joyful in the process because the barrier between the process and the manifestation of HIS promise is just ONE BREATH!” like my daughter, she was in Kenya one night and in the morning she landed where she desired to be, during the process, she did not prepare for the manifestation. “All I need to do is be still and know that HE Is GOD, and HE Is with me!”

When we look back in life we see that all over our journey. you can be in excruciating pain and in the blink of the eye, it stops. you can be nervous or anxious before a job interview, but within minutes, you are done and whether you get the position or not, life continues. And ideally, anything new in life brings with it some pain during the process, you can name any…in school you need to study in order to pass the test, if you want to move house you must endure the packing etc. Anything worthwhile has a process, which is a season of pupillage. However, having your eyes FIXED on the CREATOR enables you to remain joyful and at peace, which gives you discernment of the process, how far you are into it, your growth as you die more to self and live unto GOD. GOD’s GOOD, PLEASING and PERFECT will for us has a not so pleasant process but once we recognize that HE Is with us and shall never forsake us, we should endure the process with joy, because the barrier until the manifestation is just a BREATH away!

You could be worrying yourself into an illness, yet, unknown to you, the manifestation is just a breath away!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Pure Heart

“Create in me a pure heart, Oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me,” the Words of one of the many songs the LORD has given me since the beginning of this year, message in Psalm 51:10.

A pure heart will place you in God’s presence in amazing ways. A pure uncorrupted heart is LOVE, GOD IS LOVE… Pure LOVE keeps you in the spirit and enables you to receive knowledge, wisdom, understanding, discernment as you are led by the Holy Spirit in you…it will guard you against so much. Desire to have a pure heart.

As the LORD continues to transform me into HIS righteousness in my spiritual journey, I am amazed into what HE Is turning me to. If someone would have suggested to me that I would have the gift of singing, I would have laughed my head off, after all, I had tried to write a song for my husband for two years unsuccessfully, even using existent tunes. Scripture says, “with man, it is impossible, but with GOD, all things are possible.” GOD Is actually able to DO ANYTHING through anyone as long as they yield themselves to HIS guidance in TRUST and OBEDIENCE.

Sometime my mind, I, the self, which the LORD revealed to me is the ‘devil’ tries to discourage me and make me see obstacles in my calling, But I purpose to nudge myself and remember the LORD’s WORDS to me on that chilly morning just over a year ago, “I always had MY Eyes on you, I never wavered for a moment! Now, I want you to FIX your eyes on ME, DO NOT WAVER, even for a moment!”

The IMPORTANT thing we need to remind ourselves however high the mountain ahead of us may seem is that, GOD Is faithful and ABLE, that GOD’s purpose for each one of us can only be aborted or thwarted by oneself, otherwise, the vision GOD Has given you is UNSTOPPABLE! For GOD Is GOD, is there anything God cannot do? “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27

It is ENOUGH!

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. Exodus 14:15-16

From the Scripture above, it is evident that when the LORD calls us, HE equips us adequately for the tasks ahead. We remember during an earlier “meeting” with GOD, HE had asked Moses to throw down his staff which had then turned into a snake. this was to demonstrate GOD’s Power.

The other night I had a vision in which beautiful flowers were growing real first as I watched them mature into gigantic blooms within seconds. I seek understanding of it from the LORD and last night HE gave me the understanding that, that is how we are supposed to grow in faith and our abilities but unfortunately majority of us move at snail’s pace because of lack of faith, disobedience, laziness or ignorance. HE gave me the example of Christ Jesus’ life which matured really fast through obedience and withstanding of temptations. Jesus was done with HIS ministry in His early thirties and so was John the Baptist before Him. They articulated their mission without delay. Most of us struggle with the basics into our middle and even old age.

Our gift is multiplied as we use it for GOD’s glory and GOD adds us more as we use what we have. Sadly, some of us watch others using their gifts and increasing then become envious and jealous, instead of nurturing what they have. in other instances, we may not even know the gift we have, but that is where obedience comes in, when GOD instructs you to do something, just obey and with time as you look backward, you will be amazed how it all turned out.

The worst handicap is laziness to study the Word, this keeps many in procrastination because they miss out on the knowledge they require to make progress. Others lack the enthusiasm to nurture a personal relationship to The Saviour and hence their progress in spiritual enlightenment is painfully slow because they are only dependent on their Pastor to impart the Word once a week making their spiritual growth painfully slow.

The speed at which you grow in your relationship with the LORD and your gifts is solely dependent upon you as an individual and your heart attitude is very important. Your flowers can mature expeditiously, or boringly slow! But GOD remains faithful and ABLE, the choice is ours.

We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain, because you are dull of hearing. Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to reteach you the basic principles of God’s word. You need milk, not solid food! For everyone who lives on milk is still an infant, inexperienced in the message of righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:11-14

Death

The first death I recollect encountering was that of my step Mum whom I regarded as my natural Mum but thankfully when she passed on, I was too young to comprehend the loss and I soon found a Mum in my Aunt who lived close by to replace her. The next real close death was of my elder brother which was through an accident and shattered me completely. This instilled in me fear to love incase those I love passed on.

Fourth November is the day Mama Anna went to be with the LORD. I am confident of this because twenty one days before her departure, the LORD told me, “it is well with her soul!”

Last Monday morning the brilliant shine of the sunlight broke through the house, breaking the usual grey morning that is happening in this autumn season. It was promising by all means to be a brilliant and joyful day. It also happened to be the fourth, two years later and so we planned to visit the cemetery with my husband who looked composed, a little sad but fine.

We were by the graveside by mid afternoon and after the Hymn the Holy Spirit led me to sing, I was given a vision of Mum’s smiling face. Interestingly, she was not inside the tomb but with us meaning that she is spirit. I smiled back and said my short prayer. As I waited for my husband to finish his prayer, my eyes wandered off to other tombstones. I noted with sadness how early in life other people had rested. Mum’s smile appeared again and I realized something, I felt completely free from the pain of death, the fear of death, the sadness of death and the sting of death!

Suddenly I got the understanding that those in CHRIST have nothing to fear about death, for to die is gain. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! 1 Corinthians 15:54-56

And generally, those who complete their race and keep the faith are actually happier than the “living-dead” who spend time chasing the wind instead of doing the one thing necessary in life, LIVING. Scripture says that, CHRIST came that we may have life, and have it in full(message in John 10:10).

And I declared that the dead, who had already died, are happier than the living, who are still alive. Ecclesiastes 4:2

As we nurture our relationship with our LORD, we are transformed more and more into HIS likeness and become more and more righteous. We gradually let go of the things of the world and desire the treasures of Heaven more, ideally, this is what should happen.

While we live then, we should be careful that we are not squandering our time on meaningless things but rather, we should live each day FULLY getting closer to GOD knowing that, HE can call us home any day.  We should love abundantly and spend as much time as possible with our loved ones, distance not withstanding because we have ways to remain close despite the physical distance. We should endeavor to spend our time on NEEDFUL things as we LIVE in the MOMENT with THANKSGIVING so that we do not have regrets when our loved ones sleep ahead of us. Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. James 4:14

Sin

On Sunday night the LORD gave me understanding that majority of Christians live in desperation without blessings because of sin. Sin prevents us from living in GOD’s FULLNESS because of blocked communication, when we are deep in sin we cannot hear from GOD and this leads to missing out on wonderful blessings! Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings. Your sin has robbed you of all these good things. Jeremiah 5:25 (NLT)

As Christians living under GOD’s Grace, we have HIS power in us that enables us to die unto sin little by little until we attain a very high level of righteousness in the LORD, unless of course you prefer to remain in hypocritical Salvation with one foot in the world.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

In the morning during my walk, I was prompted to stop and observe the unusual calm river this morning. Then I heard, “just because the river is not raging does not mean it has stopped moving.” I was then given understanding that those who are holding onto the promise and living holy lives should know that although things may seem standstill, they are moving forward, because GOD does NOT stop working. They are being transformed more and growing into maturity.

As human beings, we want to see outward growth more and unfortunately this is usually about the material things we acquire, further education and so on. I will not minimize the usefulness of education or material things which help us to get along in life more easily, but I believe that the most important growth is inward.

We should desire to be gradually transformed into better people who will love and share love freely with gentleness, faithfulness, kindness, goodness, patience, joy, peace and self control. How beautiful and peaceful would the world be if we allowed the Holy Spirit to nurture these attributes in us!
